About Us

We are the official body that oversee the development of Catechesis in the Diocese of Penang, Malaysia.

PDCC is entrusted with the vital mission of nurturing and supporting the faith journey of individuals within the Penang Diocese community. Led by Deacon Clement Samuel, our commission serves as a bridge between the faithful of the Penang Diocese, the broader Catholic community, and the Malaysian Catechetical Commission (MCC).

At PDCC, we embrace the principles of accompaniment and discernment, echoing the Synodal way of the Church. Our commitment begins with attentive listening, leading to discernment inspired by the Holy Spirit, and culminating in purposeful action. We are dedicated to walking alongside all individuals involved in the ministry of catechesis and RCIA, offering guidance and support as they deepen their relationship with God.
